Plant Manager
Eaton's Mobility Business is hiring a Plant Manager for one of their Vehicle Group North America (VGNA) facilities. This position will be based in Indianapolis, IN.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President Operations, the Plant Manager oversees all distribution center operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost effective movement of goods while delivering exceptional service, safety, productivity, and financial results. This role defines operational strategy and directs distribution, kitting, inventory, and facility functions while driving continuous improvement across the site. The Plant Manager is responsible for overall site performance, including full P&L ownership, team leadership, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and execute the strategic operating plan for the distribution center aligned with divisional operational and supply chain objectives.
• Forecast business needs, plan capacity, and guide long-range operational and financial planning.
• Lead initiatives to expand capabilities, optimize the distribution footprint, and support network growth.
• Oversee end-to-end distribution operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation coordination, and facility management.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company regulatory standards.
• Build and sustain a culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement, and high performance.
• Deliver operational excellence by consistently meeting targets for accuracy, productivity, cost, service, and quality.
• Own full P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and capital planning.
• Optimize labor, equipment, technology, and warehouse space to maximize throughput and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead, coach, and develop operations leaders ensuring strong bench strength and succession planning.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Aftermarket Sales, Supply Chain, Customer service, and Manufacturing to optimize operational outcomes.
• Evaluate capital expenditure needs and manage contracts, vendor relationships, and operational investments.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of distribution center operations, with 3+ years in senior leadership role
• Robust understanding of WMS systems, inventory management and warehouse automation tools
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management and operational metrics
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Education:
• An undergraduate degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

• Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary, employee incentive compensation and complete benefits.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
