Planning Manager

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Planning Manager.

What you'll do:

This position reports to the Material Operations Manager and is responsible for leading and optimizing production planning and scheduling activities execution to align with customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints to maintain high levels of service, quality, and on-time delivery. Provides accounting support regarding SIOP process to identify continuity of the business. Reporting to this position are 9-16 hourly employees. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to assure activities support facility goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• The role leverages of ERP/MRP systems and data analytics to enhance visibility, improve accuracy, and support decision-making.
• The Planning Manager leads a team of schedulers, ensuring adherence to standardized processes, performance metrics (KPIs), and best practices.
• Drives initiatives to improve capacity utilization, reduce lead times, minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Analyzing demand forecasts, follow up master production schedules (MPS), optimizing inventory levels, identifying risks to supply continuity, and implementing corrective actions to meet production goals.
• Design and implement Finished Goods control procedures to continually improve the efficiency and accuracy of departmental processes regarding internal capacity.
• Has full control of the production plan in every production line to satisfy customer requested dates.
• Facilitate the identification and communication of identification/resolve component shortages to the Purchasing department to maintain accurate documentation and to arrange for the supply of additional units if needed.

Qualifications:

Education level required
• Bachelor's Degree in Business

Years and area of experience required
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is necessary

Technical knowledge
• Hands on Experience with ERP Systems such as MAPICS, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle
• Clear understanding of manufacturing processes and planning and control systems.
• CPM or APICS Certification is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish - English
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work with and influence senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
