Paint Technician

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Paint Technician to join our Fribrebond team in Minden, LA!

The core hours for this role are 6 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory,

The hourly rate for this position is $15.00-$22.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Paint Technician is responsible for ensuring all materials of the buildings are painted. This work includes prepping and sanding. They work with other teammates under moderate supervision and assist in high-level work for training and development. You will use a sander, paint sprayer, airless, foam, and conventional spray guns, wire wheel, grinder, respirator, forklift, and scissor lift.

In this role, you will:

• Sand and preps materials that require painting.
• Repairs any damages to materials prior to painting.
• Mix paints and primers per specifications.
• Perform spray paint (primarily), roller applications, and brush applications.
• Maintain and repair equipment and spray paint booth.
• Perform spray foam application.
• Ensure a clean workspace by completing basic cleaning tasks.
• Perform other duties as required by job order or assigned by the supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

• Previous professional working experience in any field.
• Previous working experience with spray paint in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Experience operating hand and power tools.

• Must possess a strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and tape measure.
• Ability to operate and identify spray guns, brush and roll paints.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.

• Ability to wear PPE such as eyewear, Tyvek suit, respirator, and steel toed boots with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, work at heights up to 14 ft., ascend and descend while working on a ladder, bend, crouch, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Facial hair is not allowed due to safety requirements of wearing the respirator.
• Exposure to paint fumes.
