Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a OPEX Supervisor. This role is based in Arden, NC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:

In this role, you will manage, plan, coordinate and lead the deployment of Operational Excellence programs (ECIS, structured problem solving, 5S+) throughout the Arden AVL facility in support of strategic goals and objectives. This position is a manager of people role with responsibility for a team of ME Technicians and CI Techs that support all value streams.

• Initiate and facilitate successful Kaizen events / Continuous Improvement Events, and BPIs for the Arden AVL facility.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
• Assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across Eaton and PDCA division/ ESA such as Industry 4.0
• Coach, mentor, develop and conduct performance reviews for your direct reports.
• Help achieve the sites factory cost out goals.
• Provide regular ELSS/CI status updates to the senior leadership team.
• Work cross functionally with other departments (Quality, EHS, Operations, Engineering, SCM, etc.) to achieve the sites operational goals.
• Drive employee engagement through IDEAS program and participation in CI activities.
• Maintain Annual Improvement Plan and assist in monitoring the Annual Operating Plan
• Maintain Process audit and CI Points Pyramid processes
• Encourage the Eaton Continuous Improvement Culture

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience managing people and/or leading project teams
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles, to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with components of Eaton Lean Six Sigma, EBS, EHS, ProLaunch, and Benchmark
  • Six Sigma Certified (Green Belt, Black Belt)

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Ability to influence and lead all levels of leadership
