Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a OpEx Continuous Improvement Technician 1st Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $27.90 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The OpEx CI Tech is responsible for day-to-day floor support for continuous improvement around ECIS and productivity improvements. In this role you will make process improvements through attending Tier Meetings and collecting and analyzing 5S, productivity, and other manufacturing data to improve safety, productivity 5S, and cost. You will act as an ambassador for ECIS and bridge the gap between Operations and OpEx as well as lead continuous improvement projects.

Essential Functions:
Based on issues identified at Tier meetings, lead problem solving efforts to address root cause, site 5-Why expert.
Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services. Will assist in the preparation of the following, but not limited to:
Current/Future Value Steam Map creation.

Standard work/Time Studies line balancing, work instructions.
Manage site 5S program - audit scores by area, actions, monitor gap closure, operator inclusion - advantage of coming from the shop floor.

Lead Level 1/Level 2 kaizen events based on Tier issues, CI for Everyone, 5S actions, etc.
Using RIE checklist, assist site CI leader in preparing for Level 3 RIE.

Over time gain enough understanding to possibly lead a weeklong RIE.
Monitor "CI for Everyone" program -screen ideas, integrate into Level 1# and 2 events, feedback to originator if ideas cannot be implemented.
Basic understanding of how CIF tools work and why they are important - SW, Visual Controls, Daily Accountability - site advocate with hourly work force.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Participated in at least 1 RIE or Kaizen event or continuous improvement project.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), SAP, and Q-Pulse

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience at one of Eaton's facilities on Lincoln Avenue or Badger Drive.

Continuous Improvement Framework.
Assist with action items assigned to the OpEx Function.
Assist in facilitating ECIS training to plant personnel.
The implementation of visual controls throughout the facility such as but not limited to
Floor marking.
Labeling.
Color coding.
Shadow boards.
Information boards.
Assist with defining and requesting tooling and equipment as needed.
Work with Maintenance and issue Work Orders as needed.
Own process of VOP's (review and update).
Support Industry 4.0.
