Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Operator II-PTFE Extrusion.

The hours for this role are 6am-6:30 pm Friday-Sunday

The hourly rate for this position is $18.75 Hourly Rate per hour.

What you'll do:

Primary Job Function

Experienced level of machine operator requiring the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications. Under moderate supervision, sets up and operates alternately more than one type of production machine on a limited range of production work, involving close tolerances and set-ups, which are exacting, but not usually highly involved or difficult. Adjusts machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, feeds and operation sequence are ordinarily prescribed.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Pull powder from staging area and load powder into perform press
  • Set up extruder with proper pin and die according to set-up sheet
  • Load billet into extruder
  • Set limit switch and set dial speed for extruder
  • Examine extruded tube at beginning and end of each billet
  • Extrude tube onto pan(batch)/reel
  • Chart measures
  • Move pan to oven and load (batch) (MUST CERTIFY ON LIFT TRUCK)
  • Apply mica dust to tube
  • Remove mica dust from pan
  • Monitor tube dimensions
  • Set timers and start ovens (batch)
  • Perform operations in MFGPro
  • Disburse raw materials
  • Keep up air emissions log
  • Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area, including lift truck.
  • Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.
  • Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on process travelers.
  • Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
  • Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S and TPM practices
  • Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 6 months of Manufacturing experience
  • Must live within 50 miles
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Good verbal and written communication skills

Physical Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions may produce some discomfort, e.g. exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and fumes.

Sensory Attention
Almost constant need to give concentrated attention where multiple stimuli are changing quickly, and where two or more senses must be used in coordination.
