Eaton's EPG LAC PD Power Distribution division is currently seeking a Operations Manager (ETO).

Responsible for supervising manufacturing technicians and team leaders to guide them to meet operational goals including: safety, quality and cost out objectives by using the Eaton Lean Six Sigma tools and systems including the implementation of lean manufacturing and variance reduction practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing and transactional processes for the Electrical/AMER Juarez Plant. Will provide training, coaching and mentoring for continuous improvement events in support of plant objectives. Also is responsible for recognizing and evaluating Environmental Aspects, Health and Safety hazards and Security Threads and Vulnerabilities. Includes the ability to use tools and processes to identify and develop effective control measures for eliminating, controlling and minimizing environmental aspects, health and safety hazards, and security threats and vulnerabilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing and transactional processes to achieve operational excellence.
• Lead and facilitate EHS hey strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of EHS processes to achive safety excellence in the manufacturing processes.
• Lead ,schedule and facilitate the key CI daily /weekly/monthly key EHS activities to enhance & measure effectiveness of the CI master plan
• Drive core functional excellence in implementing: Eaton Business System, Lean, Six Sigma, and other world-class operation management techniques.

• Ability to instruct and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and practices to achieve operational excellence
• Lead the plant's ELSS program and monthly Lean Focus Review.
• Assist Operations Manager, Manufacturing Managers and other business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity throughout their businesses.
• Assist Operations Manager, Manufacturing Managers and other business leaders in the development of procedures to improve safety, maximize output, maintain or improve quality, and reduce inventory and overall cost.
• Audit adherence to standardized processes and procedures to ensure sustainment of improvements
• Thorough knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles including training, planning and implementation of tools.
• Kaizen deployment experience.
• Responsible for oversight of multiple projects.
• Manage and develop skills of the Manufacturing direct reports.
• Ensure all operational processes are carried out in accordance with safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures.
• Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reviews of key metrics and actions to improve..

• Meet any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special requirements of the company.
• Active participation in continuous improvement programs, committees and counsels at local, regional and Eaton level.
• Support on compliance of internal and External assessments and audits such as Eaton Business System (EBS); OpA, Employee Listening, EQS, MESH, ELSS, ISO9001; ISO1400, OEA, SOX.
• Know and comply the applicable Eaton Global Directives, Policies and Guidelines.
• Firmly follow Eaton's leadership model as well as adopt leadership attributes (Ethics, Passion, Learning, Responsibility, Efficiency and transparency).

Qualifications:

Education level required

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

Years and area of experience required

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Manufacturing and Production enviroment in a medium/large facility.

Technical knowledge

• Operation Excellence indicators (e.g. Profit Plan, Safety, CONC, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, etc.).
• Strong EHS processes knowledge (RSA, LSR, emergency preparedness, fire Safety, hygiene & ergonomics).
• Strong Environmental aspects knowledge (Aspects assessment, waste,water,emission & energy management).
• Strong EHS processes knowledge (RSA, LSR, emergency preparedness, fire Safety, hygiene, ergonomics).
• Position requires strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, or other).
• Understands role of quality and variation reduction in driving operational improvement (Black Belt in 6Sigma, preferred).
• Strong DFM Knowledge.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong ERP/Systems Knowledge (SAP, BW, CAD/CAM/CIM/PDM).

• Must have advance level verbal and written English skills required.
• Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Experience with business finance and linking financial outcomes with operational actions and strategy
• Experience managing cost budgets and creating operational plans
• Ability to lead and facilitate progressive change and deal effectively with all levels of management
