Operational Excellence Manager
Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking an Operational Excellence Manager. Relocation assistance is being provided for any applicant residing outside of a 50-mile radius of the site!
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:
The primary function for this position will be to drive performance improvements through Lean, Six Sigma, and Eaton Business System (EBS) methodologies. As a critical member of the La Grange leadership team, the CI Manager will also provide leadership to the site Maintenance and Toolroom teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Drive the Operational Excellence (OPEX) strategic vision and roadmaps for the La Grange, NC facility
B. Provide expertise for Eaton Business System (EBS) tools and training including, EBS Pull, OpA, EBS Assessment, and other tools
C. Lead and facilitate Business Operation System (BOS) meetings and agenda to drive continuous improvement
D. Drive Cost-Out accountability for the site in alignment with the site's annual Profit Plan objectives
E. Provide support & guidance to the La Grange leadership team with Kaizens, problem solving, and ensuring EBS adherence
F. Lead the Eaton Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) deployment (visual controls, process standardization, leader standard work, Gemba walks, manning strategy, daily accountability, process checks and CI for everyone)
G. Build ELSS organizational capability and develop local ELSS/CI Tool Champions by providing training and consulting support
H. Lead the development and implementation of a plant-wide training plan

I. Monitor productivity to ensure that established shift quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded
J. Manage the Maintenance & Toolroom teams, which includes performance management, organizational planning, time and attendance management, over-time planning, and general daily work planning.
K. Ensure maintenance of records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance across the shift
L. Ensure a safe work environment for all employees, in collaboration with the EHS Manager; Drive and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture
M. Lead and facilitate structured Problem-Solving events including Kaizens and RIE's
N. Utilize change management techniques such as ADKAR to effectively drive and sustain process improvements
O. Manage capital projects and long-term planning in collaboration with Finance and Purchasing
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations/continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical degree is preferred
• MS or MBA degree preferred
• 2 or more years of leadership/supervisory experience
• Certified Black Belt from an accredited institution
Skills:
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Experienced lean professional
• Experience deploying lean techniques and continuous improvement in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Experience leading Kaizens & use of basic lean tools such as standard work, TPM, VSM, 5S
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Track record of driving continuous improvements through sustainable processes.
• Ability to negotiate with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead a technical team of Maintenance employees
• Prior Lean Six Sigma background and applied experience
