North America Energy Manager
Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a North America Energy Manager.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
The position is within the North American Energy Category organization and reports to the Global Energy Category Lead. 1) Provides specific leadership, management and oversight for assigned responsibilities within Mexico - energy markets, contrac tnegotiations, renewable projects and regulatory, industrial gase responsibilities etc.and to expand into supporting North America energy category. 2) Under the leadership of the Global Energy Category Lead, in conjunction with respective business unit's stakeholders and the Corporate IPO (International Procurement Office) Global Category Managers, develop, align and deploy effective key Category strategies for the related responsibilities, with accountability to positively impact associated annual Category spend. This will include the preparation and organization of projects and initiatives with our Senior Leaders of the functions. 3) Deliver an annual Cost Out into the businesses P&L and drive Cost Avoidance of inflationary and discretionary spending items (where appropriate), impacting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned responsibilities, increasing leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners. 4) Support and lead RFP/RFQ exercises on supported responsibilities, including coordination with all the regions and project management until deployment is fully executed. • Responsible to drive a culture of continuous improvement, through deployment of common standards and best practices, leveraging the organization of Indirect Events with the functional stakeholders and sites.5) Responsible to define and maintain an Approved Supplier status in our GPS tool and working collaboratively with business units to convert spend to either 'strategic' or 'approved' supply base. With this approach, create and leverage a rationalized supply base that covers the majority of spend and is managed at a strategic level. 6) Support and drive projects and initiatives that support corporate carbon / energy/ sustainability goals through green contracting, renewable projects and energy efficiency.

1) Establish and build internal relationships with country and regional Operations/ EHS / SCM leadership and stakeholders to clearly understand businesses as related to energy supply requirements.
2) Lead the supplier negotiations and regulatory needs to ensure both cost optimization, resiiency and regulatory compliance are adhered to by Eaton standards.
3) Lead the development of RFQ's and analysis for supplier qualification and selection.

4) Lead and assist in supporting Company's Corporate Sustainability and Carbon Reduction goals in North America.
5) Build performance based supplier relationships that lead to optimal pricing, quality improvements, process improvements and delivery of world class solutions.
6) Communicate with business leaders on key energy related Mexico and North America energy markets and regulatory chamges.
7) Develop reporting metrics and alignment with functional areas to ensure the cost savings and cost mitigation related to sourcing and supplier management acitivities are communicated and documented in Company's systems...e.g...GPS, Costverse and Contract Database systems (CLM)..
8) Must have firsthand knowledge of Mexico regulatory process and have experience working with local, country and governmental entities such as (CENACE/CNE/CFE) in Mexico.
9) Must have experience in reviewing energy contracts from a Supply Chain perspective and had worked closely with legal to negotiate Commerical Terms and Conditions for energy, renewables and industrial gas supply.
10) Effectively monitor and manage supplier policy compliance; including supplier data integrity, adherence to applicable laws and regulations, price increase mitigation, etc.
11) This position will directly impact the cost and implementation of country indirect purchase of various energy supply with estimated spend of $20M per year, with opportunity to grow into managing energy spend of an additional $90M+.

Qualifications:
Education level required
Bachelors, preference to Masters - Procurement/Engineering/Finance
Years and area of experience required
10+ years Category Management experience with preference to energy experience
Technical knowledge
Technical experience in Mexico/SA/U.S. energy markets
