National Sales Manager - Power Distribution

We are looking for a National Sales Manager to develop and execute the power distribution sales strategy for low and medium voltage projects across Australia and Pacific Islands. This is a management and hands on role where the incumbent will drive revenue growth, lead, and empower business development managers (BDM's) to create a high performing team. A highly visible role, this would suit an experienced sales manager who can drive and increase our market share in key segments such as Data Centres and Mining.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for low and medium voltage projects to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth across Australia and Pacific Islands.
  • Drive growth by expanding segment strategy and acquiring new customers targeting Data Centres, and Mining.
  • Drive accountability with BDM's while creating and maintaining a high performing culture to deliver sales and margin targets.
  • Hold team accountable to follow sales cadence to execute the annual plan.
  • Support the team to identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Attract and select key talent to meet current and future business needs.
  • Coach and motivate direct reports to develop and meet their career goals.
  • Maintain and own strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at potential customer organisations and step in to support the team when required.
  • Recognise market trends and demands and adjust business strategy accordingly.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensure mutually beneficial agreements that align with Eaton's company objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product management, project management and engineering, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a sales manager driving profitability and managing a team of high performing BDM's.
  • 10 years of experience in power distribution solutions and services in ANZ electrical market ideally in one or more of the following (primary and secondary MV switchgear, Kiosks, PDU's, PTU's and LV switchboards).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high performing culture leading to sales growth.
  • Experience in driving complex bids, RFP and RFQ's.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with authority.
