METROLOGO (TEMPORAL)

Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a METROLOGO (TEMPORAL).

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. Ensure that processes comply with customer specifications
B. Machining Cell Release
C. Performing Capability Studies
D. Calibration of measuring instruments according to standards
E. Compliance with the IATF 16949/ISO 9001 standard

G. Dimensional verification supplier parts
H. Management of measurement equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Analyze to release material (parts).

B. Control dimensioning of parts from different areas of the plant.

C. Analyzes R & R studies

D. Analyzes and control PPAP's according with measurement.

E. Prepare equipment calibration and measurement control.

F. Maintain system current (calibration of measuring equipment).

G. Provide training personnel to use and care measuring equipment.

H. Provide service related to SPC for the different areas.

I. Control audits process and production processes.

J. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

K. Promotes the company's mission by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.

L. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:

A. Technician Level or related fields required.

A. Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studies

B. Knowledge of metrology, including CMM application & programming preferred

C. Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, statistical programs, database maintenance & CAD

D. Thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principles

E. Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:
o SPC
o PFMEA
o PPAP
o 8-D problem solving
o APQP
o MSA
o Capability Analysis

F. 2 years experience in similar area.

G. Knowledge about IATF 16949/ISO 9001 standard and EQMS

H. Knowledge related quality system documentation.

I. Knowledge in dimensioning equipment.

J. Knowledge software

K. Knowledge in calibrate and dimensioning equipments.

QUALITY FUNTIONAL COMPETENCES:

A. Analytical / Statistical Tools & Methods. Knows the basic concepts of problem solving and analytical / statistical techniques, including 8D; Six Sigma; problem definition; basic data collection.

B. Inspection & Testing. Consistent knowledge and use of tools and techniques for measuring systems and devices utilized across a broad range of applications. Has the ability to perform basic analysis and reporting of inspection and test records.

C. External Requirements. Has a basic knowledge and understanding of National and International Standards (e.g. ISO / AS / TS) and where applicable other Industry related standards including specific customer requirements.
