Mechanical Tech
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Mechanical Tech to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!
The core hours are 6 am - 4:30 pm and average 54 per week. OT is paid after 40 hours.
The hourly range for this position is $15.00-$18.63 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Mechanical Technician performs mechanical installation and assembly work within modular buildings. This role requires knowledge of in-building mechanical systems and at least one specialty area-Prefab, Generator, or Air Conditioning (AC). The technician installs and supports HVAC equipment, generators, grounding systems, cable trays, fire suppression systems, and related mechanical infrastructure while following Eaton's safety and quality standards.

In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton's modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond's strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.
In this function you will:
• Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material, and prints to determine component placement

• Measure, cut, drill, and prepare mechanical components using hand and power tools
• Install mechanical systems including cable trays, grounding, waveguides, exhaust systems, HVAC components, generators, fire suppression systems, and related mounting hardware
• Perform grounding work using crimpers, lugs, C-taps, and Cadweld processes
• Prepare, position, and secure generators and AC units using forklifts and anchoring hardware
• Install piping, flashing, AC sleeves, fuel lines, and exhaust components as required
• Operate forklifts and shop equipment to move and position mechanical assemblies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Experience using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, hammer drills, pipe threaders, crimpers, caulk guns)
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience installing HVAC systems, generators, grounding systems, or mechanical infrastructure
• Forklift certification
Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and bills of material
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to operate a forklift or the willingness to be trained.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and overhead work with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work at floor level, elevated positions, and on ladders
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, moving equipment, and seasonal temperature changes
• Clear vision with or without corrective lenses with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety eyewear and steel-toed boots
