Mechanical Design Engineer

What you'll do:

As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of transformer technology. You'll take full ownership of mechanical design activities-from concept to production-bringing innovative ideas to life through precise engineering, advanced 3D modelling, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your expertise directly influences product performance, manufacturability, and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Drive the creation of transformer mechanical designs, delivering high-quality 2D and 3D drawings along with complete Bills of Materials.
  • Develop general arrangement drawings during the proposal phase, translating electrical design inputs into clear, compelling mechanical layouts.
  • Produce final approval drawings following purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness for customer validation.
  • Generate all production-ready documentation, including detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
  • Provide expert technical support to production teams, ensuring smooth execution and resolving mechanical design challenges.
  • Lead mechanical design improvements and production development initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Champion transformer optimization efforts, identifying opportunities to refine mechanical structures and streamline assembly.
  • Prepare and deliver technical training sessions for teammates and supporting departments, strengthening internal knowledge and capability.
  • Take an active leadership role in internal quality problem-solving processes, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support supplier evaluation by providing technical insights, assessing alternative components, and leading related development projects when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivelant
• Min 2-3 years of professional experience working with transfomer

Skills:

• High level technical knowledge of transformer mechanical design
• Having a strong knowledge of transformer production and materials
• Experience in working with MS Office and ERP programs
• Proficient in Solidworks and Autocad(3D and 2D design)
• Strong project-management skills."
