Material Operations Leader
Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Material Operations Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga, ON facility and offers benefits from day one.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the Satellites Business Manager, and a representative of a plant within a Network, the Material Operations Leader is responsible for facilitating seamless execution and adhering to planned volumes and dates for the Satellites performance across core business objectives such as inventory, cost and customer satisfaction. The Material Ops Leader's focus lies on managing the short-term frozen horizon across the Canadian Satellites. The role will have direct linkage to the SIOP process, specifically for execution of the Supply & Operations Execution plan, communicating the procurement requirements to vendors while maintaining an acceptable level of inventory to support the marketing forecast and on time delivery targets to support customers. The Material Ops Leader will directly support key material-related functions and drive Supply Chain related Initiatives to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency. This role will also support the onboarding, training and development of the Satellites Supply Chain team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide functional leadership and support to a team of Production Schedulers and an Indirect Buyer, ensuring schedule attainment across satellite operations.
- Participate in the annual talent review process and lead ongoing capability development for team members through on-the-job training and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) competency matrix to support succession planning.
- Own the monitoring and analysis of short-term inventory performance (30-, 60-, and 90-day horizons) versus forecast, delivering KPI-driven insights to support management decision-making.
- Communicate the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) plan to Operations and the Center of Excellence (COE), aligning material procurement requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support forecasted demand and on-time delivery.
- Enable a smooth transition between planning and execution by aligning material availability with available production capacity.
- Ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule (MPS), including re-sequencing or re-routing production orders as required to minimize deviations during constraints.
- Escalate execution-related issues to the Network Scheduler and Operations leadership when timely resolution is required to protect MPS commitments.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Network Planning teams to support new product launches, line extensions, product changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities.
- Lead and coordinate material-related supply chain initiatives focused on world-class processes, systems, and execution excellence, including ERP health, driving measurable improvement through action plans and corrective measures.
- Support inventory planning and governance processes aligned with strategic objectives, working with the SCM Network to leverage tools such as ABC/XYZ segmentation, inventory analytics, Kanban/Min-Max, forecasting, and SIOP inputs to balance customer demand with profitability targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives-including Find-It-Fix-It and Cost-Out programs-to improve efficiency, establish cost-reduction targets, and drive planner-level accountability aligned to individual goals.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with customers and suppliers to build strong relationships and effective partnerships.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Production Scheduler playbooks and standardized work instructions.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
• Post-Secondary diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of Supply Chain Management related experience.
• Work experience and advanced knowledge of MRP system (Oracle) and an ERP system.
• Work experience and advanced knowledge or Global Vista system, US Vista system.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
• APICS certification.
• CPIM Certification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Program.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifications.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $92,000 - $116,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
