What you'll do:

• Master's thesis on the topic "Solid State Circuit Breakers for LVDC or MVDC applications "
• Literature research on semiconductor-based circuit breaker topologies
• Simulation of the power stage of SSCB topology
• Detailed Modelling of the gate driver for the related SSCB
• Modeling, control and communication of the SSCB
• Simulation and modeling of LVDC or MVDC grids
• Simulation of different use case scenarios

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a master's degree in electrical engineering

Skills:

• Understanding of the principles of power electronics and DC grids
• Practical experience with power electronic converters is an advantage
• Experience with simulation platforms like LTSpice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink desired
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in English and/or German
• Individual support during the preparation of the Master's thesis
