Master Designer PCB

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Master Designer PCB.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Eaton is seeking an PCBA designer to work together with their Advanced Technology team on early phase technology platforms used in low voltage and medium voltage circuit breakers and switching products for the Protection, Control and Solutions business. The role will be located in Eaton's design center in Santo Domingo, DR.

Deliver printed circuit board (PCB) designs using Altium E-CAD tools. This includes part creation, schematic capture, board layout, silk-screen, bill of materials, and full assembly drawing packages suitable for manufacture.
Deliver electronic assembly designs using Creo M-CAD tools. This includes following established look/feel, modeling the internal components, obtaining prototypes, designing for tooling, and performing 1st article inspections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Work in the digital environment using 3-D models of the components and systems to reduce the iterations of physical prototyping.
B. Coordinate with lead design engineers to align with look/feel standards and user experience
C. Create complete PCBA designs (including part models, layouts, test-point coverage and PCB fabrication specifications) and documentation. Follow appropriate work processes, design rules, product requirements, testability and manufacturability.
D. Initiate design reviews for PCBA designs w/ Engineering team members
E. Create assembly drawings and manufacturing packages, including all necessary information for production of the product or assembly.
F. Support manufacturers for tooling development, 1st article and the PPAP process.
G. Control engineering documentation using a product data management system (Enovia) and engineering change orders.
H. Drive the use of industry best practices.
I. Grow personal knowledge in the technology of PCB design.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Industrial Design or related field (Bachelor's student)
• 5 years of experience with E-CAD and M-CAD tools to create electronic products.
