Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician.

The core hours for this role are 6:00am - 2:30pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $27 - $44 per hour.

What you'll do:

In this function you will:
• Investigate and resolve quality issues in a production environment
• Create operating instructions and documentation for new and existing components
• Set-up and order new and/or specialized tooling (i.e. ESD, torque tools calibration, etc)
• Create and Implement Engineering Change Requests
• Support NPI process via prototyping new products
• Update Standard Operating Procedures as needed
• Promotes and maintains 5S standards throughout the area
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement
• All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring
  • Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend frequently
  • Required working knowledge and experience with computers

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring
  • Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend frequently
  • Specialized knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills
