Manufacturing Engineer - Industry 4.0
What you'll do:
"• The Manufacturing Engineer (I4.0) will support Industry 4.0 deployment and will be the Operations/Manufacturing technology leader in the deployment of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Smart Benches for Eaton Bangalore's manufacturing processes. This role will identify, develop, and drive the deployment of technology-based solutions for enabling a digital transformation within our manufacturing operations. This includes: equipment connectivity, plant application reporting, analytical skills, and dashboards that accurately represent manufacturing process status and performance.
• Responsible for design, specification, and implementation of safe and efficient manufacturing processes, including machine guarding and controls, tooling, fixtures, gauges, material handling, and process documentation.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing operation. Includes collection and analysis of manufacturing data to implement process improvements that improve safety, product quality, customer delivery, and cost reductions.
• Provide mentorship to other members of the Eaton team in manufacturing engineering and I4.0 competencies."
"• Responsible for deployment of the Eaton Aerospace Group strategy for Smart factories, I4.0, and IIoT at the Bangalore facility.
o Work with site leadership to develop strategies, goals, objectives, and resource planning for digital transformation of site's operational processes
o Leverage digital tools to automate and control manufacturing processes, operations
o Implement digital solutions to drive process capability, including work instructions, error-proofing, automation, inspection, data collection and analysis, process monitoring/reporting
o Develop, enhance, and improve MES and other application software, reports
• Design, develop, implement, and improve safe and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes:
o Uses MESH (Eaton Environmental, Safety and Health process), and other Eaton and industry standard practices
o Designs processes to ensure that components and assemblies meet all internal and external customer quality specifications (Eaton Quality System, AS9100, and NADCAP).
o Ensures processes are efficient in terms of capital intensity and human resources by implementing Eaton Lean Six Sigma tools, participate on cross-functional CI teams
• Create and maintain PFMEAs, routers, equipment PMs, technique sheets, and equipment programs to ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are achieved.
• Work directly with manufacturing operators to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products produced.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.
• Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
• Utilize AIAG or equivalent tools for Measurement System Analysis, Capability Analysis, SPC and FMEA
• Collaborate with ProLaunch new product development teams to ensure proper use of MES and Smart Factory concepts
• Mentor others in Manufacturing Engineering competencies, processes, I4.0 technologies, and lean concepts.
• Take complete ownership in creating RFQ for machine procurement, creating MOC, CAR and other related documents for purchase. Conduct dry runs and trials at supplier facility, receive and install the machiene, perform detailed Run Off tests and qualify machine for operations and hand over"
Qualifications:
• Engineering degree in Electromechanical or Controls, BE Mechanical
• Six to (6-7) or more years of experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing processes or other related engineering function

Min 4 Years of operational experience in Python, SQL, HTML and ACCESS
Should be Indian by Nationality
Skills:
• Experience using MRP, PDM, and MES software solutions (ideally those used by Eaton: QAD MFG/Pro, Dassault ENOVIA,
• Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
