Manager- Packaging Engineering
What you'll do:
Position Overview:
The Manager Packaging CoE leads a team of Packaging Engineers to drive Packaging COE Strategy. Oversee packaging projects for new products, VA/VE, and establish specification library frameworks across Eaton businesses. Build relationships with stakeholders and factory teams, and coordinate with product engineering, Packaging Category, Product Stewardship COE, Logistics, Procurement and Product Life Cycle Management. Ensure KPIs are met consistently. Implement talent development strategies to ensure the team is consistently prepared for future challenges. Meet or exceed the goals set as per organizational priorities in each financial year.
This role is tasked with developing packaging strategies in coordination with global and regional category managers, supporting Global Eaton facilities in achieving their business objectives and priorities. The position oversees all varieties of packaging materials and designs.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma in Packaging/ Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution required.
- Advance competence in overall packaging design, manufacturing processes, testing & commissioning of projects
- Advance supply chain knowledge
- Awareness of CreO, PLM, Artios CAD & CAPE softwares
- Experience in leading & developing Teams
Preferred qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 - 22 years of experience in packaging Engineering & management roles
- Master's in business administration
- Strong Business acumen
- Proficient in Data applications & systems

- Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: Champion organizational learning by mentoring emerging leaders and facilitating the transfer of critical knowledge throughout the packaging engineering function.
- Training Strategy: Direct the design and deployment of advanced training initiatives, aligning development programs with strategic business objectives and future capability needs.
- Cost Optimization: Oversee the formulation and execution of packaging cost strategies, including multi-material cost modeling and financial stewardship to maximize value creation.
- Value Chain Analysis: Lead comprehensive value chain evaluations to identify and capture total cost of ownership opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
- PLM Integration: Spearhead digital transformation in packaging lifecycle management by developing and deploying frameworks that integrate packaging specifications within enterprise PLM systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage executive-level relationships and influence strategic alignment across Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, and Manufacturing functions to drive timely innovation and delivery.
