Maintenance Supervisor
Primary Functions:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to supervise all matters relating to the proper preventive maintenance, repairs, machinery and tools. Directly supervise employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Also it is his/her responsibility to maintain a safe work environment free of any harassment, discrimination, and high on ethical/quality standards and following and modeling the Leadership Attributes as established by Eaton policies & procedures. Also, provides support in the installation of new equipment and layouts.
What you'll do:
Essential Functions:
Safety
• Attend and perform all EHS training assigned.
• Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees under his/her supervision.
• Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by all personnel under his/her supervision.
• Actively participates in Job Safety Analysis and timely resolution of safety corrective actions.
• Foresees that all equipment and machinery comply with local and federal regulatory offices.
Quality
• Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System regulations.
• Use Problem Solving tools to resolve (Six Sigma,8D) quality issues and establish systems to improve yield, reduce scrap and minimize rework.
• Develop employee Problem Solving Skills and establish metrics to monitor employee and area performance (area efficiency, utilization and equipment downtime) in terms of quality.
Delivery
• Interfaces with internal business partners to understand their needs related to technology, product reviews, performance objectives, device features/functions, cost, delivery schedules and quantities.
• Delivers process and manufacturing excellence.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Inventory
• Work in close collaboration and partner with SCM, OPEX, Quality, HR, and Finance Teams to optimize overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Productivity
• Responsible for the execution of Continuous Improvement tools.
• Leads Tier 2 meetings and takes care of the updating and tracking process of Visual Boards.

• Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
• Performs operation analysis to maximize flow in the areas and to assure the best use of resources to achieve total product cycle time goals and the highest level of productivity.
• Responsible to monitor and control Overtime expenses and Absenteeism issues following available tools.
• Responsible for the implementation of CIF initiatives through the facility group.
• Supervise the installation, improvement, upkeep, construction and repairs of all buildings, machinery, tools, facilities and premises.
• Identify and schedules overhauls and renewal of equipment.
• Manage the documentation of equipment repairs and inspection.
• Issue and review work schedule of the department.
• Manage the preventive maintenance program.
• Recommends and executes the modifications to equipment.
• Assists in the development and implementation of ideas related the cost reduction program.
• Manage or assist to manage major construction projects or facilities expansions. #LI-DG2
Qualifications:
Specialized Knowledge:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Maintenance management in a Manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience minimum of 3 years.
Proven Experience:
• Strong background in maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Good understanding in power distributions components and system as well its risks
(arc flash).
• Knowledge PLC, electronics, motors and other topics related to maintenance of equipment.
• Hand on ability to troubleshoot equipment. Fully bilingual
• Oral and written skills (English/Spanish).
• Computer literate; Windows, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Auto Cad and other software.
• Good project management skills.
• Good understanding in the repair and function of air handling units, electric generators, chillers, extraction system or any other equipment related to the facility.
• Fully knowledgeable in calibration methods.
• OSHA regulations, EPA regulations.
