Low Voltage System Assembly (LVSA) - Project Quality Engineer (m/f/d)
This position is based at our manufacturing plant in Schrems, Austria
This role is responsible for ensuring high product quality through the development and management of robust internal quality processes and documentation. It involves carrying out process-related checks in accordance with defined guidelines, contributing to various quality and improvement projects, and acting as a strong advocate for customer interests within the organisation.
- Drive external customer complaint management, including root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (8D, A3).
- Ensure product and process quality by developing, managing, and enforcing internal quality processes and documentation, including authority to intervene in production when required.
- Support new product introductions from a quality perspective in line with APQP, change management, Pro-Launch, and EQMS requirements.
- Perform and oversee process-related tests, inspections, audits, and ongoing process monitoring.
- Coordinate supplier quality topics, including supplier complaints and incoming goods inspections.
- Decide on part usability and conformity and assess potential shipment impacts within the supply chain.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support Six Sigma projects.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and the PMCC integrated management system, driving quality metrics towards world-class benchmarks.
- Maintain and further develop the ISO 9001 management system and support additional certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 22301).
- Act as the internal quality representative for customer interests, translating requirements into processes and delivering related training in cooperation with relevant departments.
We would like you to bring:
- Technical background (preferably Electrical Engineering or related) with hands-on industry experience
- Several years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Quality Management, including ISO 9001, APQP, problem-solving and core quality tools (e.g. FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Project-oriented mindset with the ability to work structured, collaboratively, and across functions
- Clear communicator who can explain complex technical topics and represent quality requirements with confidence
- Basic knowledge of additional management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and Six Sigma is a plus
- High level of engagement, resilience, integrity, and openness to continuous improvement
- Fluent English required; German is an advantage
What we offer:
- A performance-oriented and attractive remuneration, depending on education, qualifications, and professional experience, of approximately EUR 60,000 gross per year, paid in 14 monthly instalments (overpayment above this amount is possible depending on qualifications and experience)
