Lead HR Generalist
Eaton's Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Lead HR Generalist to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $112000 - $164000 a year.

Job Summary:
Eaton's Fluid & Electrical Distribution Division of the Aerospace Group, located in Beltsville, MD, is seeking a Lead Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. Our site of approximately 500 employees is a leader in the design, development, and production of Aerospace environmental control system components, systems, and services supporting global OEM and aftermarket customers.
The Lead Human Resources Generalist is a highly visible role responsible for driving HR functional excellence and supporting business objectives through strong partnership with assigned client groups. This position delivers full-spectrum HR support, including employee relations, staffing, training/pay-for-skill, performance management, compensation, coaching, payroll support, and other HR initiatives. The incumbent will develop, implement, and sustain HR programs that strengthen organizational capability and foster a positive, compliant work environment.

- Key Duties:
- Partner with the HR Manager to implement HR policies, programs, and talent initiatives that enhance organizational capability and support business objectives.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management, coaching, employee relations, conflict resolution, and employee development.
- Ensure a positive and compliant work environment through consistent application of HR policies and adherence to federal and state employment laws, OSHA, EEO, AA, and ITAR requirements.
- Lead full cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing roles and salaried positions (SB08 and below) within assigned client groups.
- Oversee HR operations including HRIS data integrity, payroll support, leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation; serve as liaison between the site, employees, and third party administrators.
- Maintain visibility on the production floor to promote employee engagement and strong employee relations
- Support site learning and development programs, including pay for skill initiatives, front line leadership training, and other key development activities; continuously evaluate and enhance program effectiveness.
- Train to serve as the back up Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the FAA Drug and Alcohol Compliance Program.
- Partner with the site HR Leader to execute corporate programs such as OpA, MESH, Inclusion & Diversity, and the annual employee survey process; support site-specific HR strategies including organizational design, restructuring, and change management.
- Assist with internal and external compliance audits and regulatory reviews as required.

- Strong analytical ability, including identifying trends, relationships, and root causes to solve complex problems.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and make sound, timely decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and drive results across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Broad HR functional knowledge with experience supporting organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Current knowledge of federal and state labor laws, OSHA, EEO, and Affirmative Action requirements.
Qualifications:
- Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of human resources experience OR
- Master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (50 miles of Beltsville, MD) will be considered for this position.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business, human resource management, industrial relations, organizational psychology or industrial/organizational psychology - Master's degree preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- PHR/SPHR Certified
- Ability to occasionally work a varied schedule to support off shift employee needs.
