"Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer - UI to join our Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune, India. This role offers a hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits from day one.

As a Lead Engineer - UI, you will provide technical leadership for the design, architecture, and development of user interfaces for Eaton's Advanced Distribution Planning System (ADPS). You will guide engineering teams in building scalable, high-performance, and user-centric applications that support the analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energy systems.

Working closely with product owners, architects, UX designers, and software engineers, you will drive technical excellence, establish front-end best practices, mentor team members, and influence key technology decisions. Your contributions will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions that help utilities modernize the grid and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future.

"• Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale Angular applications and Micro Frontend solutions.
• Define UI architecture standards, coding guidelines, and frontend best practices.
• Own and drive Nx Monorepo and Module Federation architecture for scalability and maintainability.
• Design reusable UI frameworks, shared components, and frontend platform capabilities.
• Establish clear UI, Feature, and Data Access layer separation across applications.
• Drive Storybook adoption for component development, testing, and documentation.
• Lead GraphQL integration using Apollo Client and optimized client-side caching strategies.

• Define standards for complex data visualization, dashboards, and AG Grid implementations.
• Drive frontend performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and user experience improvements.
• Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance.
• e CI/CD, quality engineering, automation, and frontend modernization initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and innovation.

Qualifications:

"Required: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science Engineering from accredited institution
Desired: Master's degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics & Telecomm Engineering from accredited institution"
"Required:

• 8+ years of experience in software and front-end development.
• 8+ years of experience with Angular, React, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership and team mentoring."

Skills:

• Experience in UI architecture, component design, and front-end best practices.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, CI/CD, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

"• Strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Angular Material, Nx, RxJS, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications.
• Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, and modern software development tools.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, code reviews, and testing frameworks.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation practices.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

• Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences..
• Experience mentoring junior developers and promoting engineering best practices.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Experience with Azure.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with Micro Frontend (MFE).

Desired:
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, and Pytest, with experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with QA teams to enforce quality gate.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, with experience deploying, scaling, and monitoring cloud-native applications."
