What you'll do:

-• Experience technically leading a team through all stages of the prodcut development cycle
• Experience in short circuit, temperature rise, arc test, test duties in accordance with IEEE/IEC/UL standards
• Knowledge in Agile ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes • Experience in product costing and analyzing cost break-up due to various manufacturing processes/design features
• Experience in test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation
• Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology
• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations""
• Sound technical knowledge in LV electrical products - Preferrably switchgear assemblies and components such as circuit breakers, switches, fuses
• Extensive experience with product design, technology exploration, agile methodologies
• Hands on experience of working in plants, resolving technical issues, driving LEAN, DFSS certified
• Thorough understanding of IEEE standards, Type test certification, 3D modelling/drafting & SAP knowledge/ PLM""

Product Ownership:
- Colloborate with Global systems engineers, sales/marketing and manufacturing development teams to produce engineering designs and specifications for new features and enhancements.
- Demonstrates capability in end to end design & development of switchgear product line as per marketing requirements
- Ability to guide simulation engineers on Short circuit and Thermals
- Leverage / Establish capability to leverage local eco system for faster validation and execution
- Ability to make decisions on new and sustaining product lines towards feature enhancements, maintenance
- Accountable for providing engineering solutions for field issues, retrofits, etc.

Technology & Innovation leadership:
- Generate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products.
- Builds awareness about learning industry standards like IEEE, UL, etc. while leveraging our internal codes and standards team to ensure product compliance.
- Performs other duties as required to achieve departmental and division objectives. This may include flexing to other product line teams
- Provide the technical mentoring, review of other NPI projects, driving on time launch through technical risk assessment
- Propose Cost out ideas through benchmarking, should cost, modularity and standardization projects"

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering in Mechanical/Electrical
