Lead Engineer
What you'll do:
The incumbent will have primarily responsibility of leading systems engineering, architecting and systems design of 48V products within Power conversion team of Low Voltage and Power Conversion engg organization in eMobility business. The individual will be responsible for systems engineering, modelling and validation activities for new product development including, analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, understanding complex system development methods and reviewing component spec. This will include requirements elicitation and management, and the development to a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) centric process. The incumbent will be functional lead for systems engineering in 48V NPI programs and collaborate with other functional leads and Technical Project Lead to execute PROLaunch deliverables. Additionally, the incumbent will also lead the development of tools and processes and provide mentoring and guidance to the Power Conversion engineering organization on program execution using MBE and MBSE.
"Our eMobility Low Voltage & Power Conversion business is looking for Lead Systems Engineer for 48V product line in Power conversion engineering organization within LVPC business. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune, India.
• Practitioner in Systems Engineering, with hands-on SE experience pertaining to multi-disciplinary systems, including in regulated safety-critical industries like aerospace and automotive, Vehicle electrification domain experience is preferred
• Practitioner on MBSE with deep hands-on experience on MBSE toolchain including SysML modeling tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Capella and Enterprise Architect Responsible to lead and execute full Systems Engineering development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in 48V NPI programs
• Influence the continual improvement of the systems engineering capability, including the evolution to a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment
• Apply and develop Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and techniques to develop system architectures that meet stakeholder needs
• Execute System Architecture ideas and demonstrate feasibility through relevant engineering calculations / predictions.
• Systems modelling, with exposure to MBSE, the SysML modelling language, and tools (e.g. Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, and/or CAMEO).
• Exposure to industry standards like ARP4754A, IEC15288 is desirable
• Develop company best practices and use to create system/sub-system architectures and the decomposition, allocation of requirements into sub-systems and LRUs
• Planning, leading and executing requirements capture and systems architectures development using requirements capture tools (e.g. CRADLE and DOORS NG).
• Execute system engineering work while driving continuous improvement to fulfil project, system KPIs and meet customer satisfaction.
• Execute multiphysics system simulations through MatLab Simulink software complying with the specifications. Drive digital transformation by leveraging data, insights and digital tools.
• Drive and execute a new power electronics system development through Eaton PROLaunch / PRELaunch system Engineering processes.
• Should have working experience with CAD, analytical & analysis tools (Creo, Matlab/Simulink, AMESiM, MathCAD)
• Should have proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Drive & champion the culture of Digital Design, Design for Six Sigma and Stage Gate Product Development Process
• Champion continuous capability and process improvements to support the Eaton Business System"
Qualifications:
B-Tech/BE / ME/MTech
12+ years with BE or 8+ years experience with ME / M.Tech
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Over 12+ years with BE or 8+ years experience with ME / M.Tech of industry experience with a proven track record in Systems engineering products like 48V eHeater, DC-DC, 24V-12V Converters, Auxiliary Inverters or any other power electronics products.
Skills:
• Expertise in handling New Product & Technology Development leveraging stage gate approach
• Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement cost effective solutions
• Experience developing technology roadmap and execution while working with cross functional team
• In depth understanding and hands-on experience of working on relevant software tools and methods

• Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation systems.
• Experience in validation, verification, and certification processes in automotive or electrical domains.
• Strong understanding of reliability in embedded system design.
• Knowledge of DFSS tools such as FMEA, FMECA, and Monte Carlo Analysis.
• Experience in hybrid and vehicle electrification projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety processes.
