Yesterday• Shanghai, China
Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to protecting the environment and improving the quality of life for people everywhere. We make products for the data center, utility, industrial, commercial, machine building, residential, aerospace and mobility markets.
What you'll do:
As a technical leader in PDSS, you will strategically oversee end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle for high-voltage, power electronics-intensive solutions, driving innovation, technical excellence, and market competitiveness.
- Strategic Technical Leadership: Define technical roadmaps for solid-state circuit protection components and system assemblies; lead electrical system architecture, circuit-level design, validation, and industrialization, ensuring alignment with global industry standards, safety regulations, and business objectives.
- Advanced Power Distribution Architecture: Design and optimize circuit protection architectures and selective coordination strategies for next-generation power distribution systems with high penetration of renewable energy, energy storage, and power electronics (e.g., EV charging, microgrids).
- Cutting-Edge Power Electronics Expertise: Lead cross-functional teams in trade-off analysis of advanced power electronics topologies (SiC/GaN-based), critical semiconductor device selection, and high-performance passive component design for grid-connected inverters, high-voltage DC/DC converters, and rectifiers; drive efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Embedded Control System Leadership: Provide technical stewardship for microcontroller-based control systems (hardware layout, firmware coding, algorithm development, and debugging) in power electronics products; mentor engineers and resolve complex technical bottlenecks to accelerate project delivery and quality excellence.
- Strategic Market & Competitor Intelligence: Conduct in-depth, forward-looking competitor analysis and benchmarking (product specifications, core technologies, pricing strategies, and business models); translate insights into technical differentiation and NPD priorities.
- Key Customer & Pre-Sales Leadership: Serve as a technical authority for key accounts in datacenter, energy storage, industrial power distribution, and circuit protection; lead complex pre-sales technical consultations, custom solution design, and application implementation support to drive revenue growth.
- Bidding & Commercial Technical Support: Lead technical aspects of high-value project quotations and bidding; provide expert technical consultation, specification clarification, customized product configuration, cost modeling, and pricing strategy recommendations to enable winning proposals.
- Technical Governance & Knowledge Sharing: Establish and enforce technical standards, design guidelines, and best practices for the PDSS team; lead knowledge transfer initiatives, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with R&D, sales, and manufacturing teams to foster a culture of technical innovation.
