Lead Division Sales Engineer
Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Lead Division Sales Engineer. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Houston TX Eaton facility. Relocation assistance will be offered, if needed.
The Lead Division Sales Engineer will support the MCC Product Line, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing on Motor Control Center projects, initiatives, design, and manufacturing changes. Responsibility to include interpretation of project plans and specifications, product application, market feedback, configuration of product, technical support, engineering changes, and product expertise and training. Additionally, they will provide secondary technical support to field/sales.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $94000 - $138000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

In this role:
- Provides secondary and escalated pre-and-and-post sales support for MCC products for quotations, installations, and warranty issues. Provide product application support for the Motor Control Center product lines as a 2nd-tier specialist.
- Supports sales engineers as needed by performing product specification reviews and preparing large and more difficult quotations.
- Conducts competitive product analysis and writes technical literature for internal and external use. Research and prepare competitive cross references and application notes for the product lines supported.
- Provides technical explanations, demonstration and training of products to customers, field engineering, and marketing support functions. Provide training seminars. This could include up to 20% travel.
- Assists in-house engineering and marketing personnel in developing concepts for new products or modification of existing devices and contribute to product launch requirements. Assist engineering and marketing with new product development, strategy, design, and project evolution.
- Perform a wide variety of marketing and technical tasks, including solving customer problems with the use of technical and marketing publications, development specifications, and divisional peers to innovate problem solutions.
- Guide the coordination of special complex design problems with design/standards engineering.
- Interpret and define commercial and technical data where customer and/or product planning specifications are of a general or speculative nature involving the solution of new and varied problems.
- Give training and informative presentations to customers, distributors, EESS, Eaton Power System Engineers, other Engineers. and sales force concerning Eaton's electrical products and services,
- Be a technical resource for the MCC product lines.
- Create and present technical documentation.
- Strategize, propose, and create programs, products, and/or projects that will improve overall sales for the MCC product lines.
- Support or lead projects that will expand the MCC product lines
- Support product manager as a change agent for assigned business initiatives. Look for high impact opportunities for improvement. Includes gathering/analyzing data, making recommendations, gaining team buy-in, and influencing others.
- Assist manufacturing with engineering requests or needed training.
- You will interface with Eaton sales, independent sales representatives, distributors, Eaton operations and customers to promote sales growth, both commercially and through marketing and technical support.
- Must be able to manage time appropriately to meet the product line's objectives and customers' requirements.
- Ability to travel is necessary to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts and to manage or participate in company-related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments.
- Assist with engineering designs, providing direction to application engineers and designers, and collaborating with direct customers/field sales.
- Work closely with standards engineering and marketing for MCC specific standards compliance and introduction into new standards in order to increase sales based on standard changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited Institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical industry.
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of Power Distribution and Power Systems
- Must be willing to travel 25%.
- Must be willing to relocate to Houston TX. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
