Lead Analyst
What you'll do:
The role closely works with VP (IPO& Global Indirect) and partners with global indirect organization for Indirect analytics.The role interacts with business leaders in Indirect organization for periodic business reviews and performance monitoring. The role has major responsibility of collating the data drawn from SCM and Finance systems to produce meaningful insights to facilitate decision making. It is the responsibility of this role to provide inputs for Global SCM MIS report alongwith commentary on performance variances. The role is also responsible for managing and monitoring the HK matrix of global indirect organization in collaboration with business leaders. Analysis of spend in such a way which will facilitate generation of more and more cost out ideas and assigning the targets at the site level with due co-ordination is crucial responsiblity of this role which will determine the direct performance of Indirect org against profit plan. The role has also the responsibility for cost out ogvernance for indirect and development of analytical models in partnerhsip with SCM analytics team. Global Indirect org has heavy dependence on this role to monitor the performance and drive decisions.
"The broader responsibilities include:
- Partner with businesses for the comprehensive profit planning exercise of indirect org; closely work in VP (IPO & Global Indirect) for determining targets and generation of ideas. The job involves close interaction with Indirect org and complex analysis of scattered indirect spend to generate ideas, finalization of templates and facilitate profit plan reviews
- Provide holistic inputs for Global Supply Chain MIS with due comments including the forecast guidance. this is extremely crucial from the point of view of accuracy and timeliness as the audiences are top SCM and business leaders.
- Prepare complete actual and forecast packages and facilitate business reviews outlining performance against forecast and profit plan clearly outlining the relationship between costs outs / ins vis-a-vis spend.
- Monitor manufacturing performance for Electrical and Industrial sector particularly from Indirect productivity standpoint to spot improvement opportunities and drive actions. This is particularly important as MRO and other manufactuirng expenses which is a major process cost gets covered under Indirect spend.
- Assume complete responsibility for Indirect Financial Governance through preparation of HK matrix and relevant bowlers thereby throwing additional insights on Indirect performance and also monitor the KPIs to identify gaps and drive actions.HK metrics is a single source to govern indirect KPIs directly within the purveiw of VP (IPO & Global Indirect)
- Carry out a comprehensive cost out governance for Indirect through audit and analysis of top 10 projects crucial to achieve target metrics.
- Closely interact and collaborate with SCM Indirect procurement team as well as the analytics team to develop various models (PBI or MS Excel) to montior the progress of key initiatives like Hub and spoke model, etc. Ariba Guided buying is one more crucial initiative which is getting into shape now. This position will also require to develop analytics to determin the success of this initiative.
- Provide various analytics per specific business needs related to project reviews, saving calculations, approval status, etc.
Qualifications:
B E. / MBA (Finance) / CMA
About 7 to 8 years experience in Financial analytics, understanding of numbers, handling large data, understanding of ERP and various other systems
