Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Layout Technician- Split Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are 11 a.m. - 7 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $25.44 per hour.

What you'll do:
This position requires you to operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.
In the functions, you will:
- Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)
- Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)
Safety & Quality Training necessary, but not limited to:
- Types of Mechanical Power Presses
- Safeguarding Requirements
- Trip Devices
- Press Inspections
- Die Setting
- Basic Operating Controls
- First Piece Quality Inspection
- In-process Quality Inspection
- Linknet training
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing enviornment.

- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.)
- Must be able to move, position, and/or lift parts or boxes weighing from 10lbs-50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience reading blueprints
- Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers
- SAP experience
- Proficient with computer application systems.
