The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $ 70,000 a year.

Eaton's Electrification Test Lab is currently seeking a lab technician to join our team. This position is based at our Marshall, Michigan facility.
This person would partner with engineering on activities such as testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of product development; work with engineering and provide technical solutions to solve product issues; complete assigned jobs with assistance from other team member and engineers; conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment; check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards"

Job Responsibilities

- Experience in testing, running, troubleshooting, evaluating, and/or servicing automotive, electrical, mechanical, testing, machining, research/development, test equipment, electrical components, transmission components, heavy duty components, metallurgical, and/or engineering is highly desirable.
- Experience performing quality measurements, test instruments, GD&T, electrical components, troubleshooting, and analysis is highly desirable.
Provide support to engineering by supporting all phases of product development with supplying product assembly, testing, design, failure analysis, cost reduction and product development and improvements. - Partner with engineering on activities such as testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of product development; work with engineering and provide technical solutions to solve product issues; complete assigned jobs with assistance from other team member and engineers; conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment; check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Complies with requirements of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Incumbent may be required to perform the following tasks on limited, frequent, occasional or seldom basis: repetitive lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, driving extended distances.
- Incumbent may perform varies lab duties, participate on team projects or activities, research new processes or concepts, work under deadlines, work fluctuating amounts of overtime. Working in an environment where safety and quality is a number one priority and expectation of all employees.
Promoting mutual respect, keeping workplace clean and safe and supports safety programs. - Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, electrical worker safety protection may be required based on specific role.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• High School degree with Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automotive, electrical, mechanical, testing, or engineering environment
• Previous test engineering experience supporting an engineering, research, or manufacturing organization.

• Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
• Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Marshall, Mi. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical degree.
• Product Electrical and Mechanical background/experience.
• Previous experience in Automotive/Vehicle, Aerospace, or Industrial Automation sectors.
• Knowledge of Test Lab Equipment typically found in Engineering Product Testing Research Labs Effective communication English skills ( verbal, written).
• Significant English Technical Writing.
• Ability to work within Team environment.
