Within Eaton's Electrical portfolio, the Vacuum Interrupter product line is a key medium-voltage technology supporting circuit breakers, contactors, and switchgear solutions.

To support the growth of this business, we are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive end-to-end business development for Vacuum Interrupter and related products. The role focuses on commercial strategy, go-to-market execution, and channel development, working closely with internal sales teams, distributors, agents, and switchgear partners.

The position covers Italy and surrounding countries and is accountable for achieving sales, margin, market share, and profit plan targets in alignment with regional and global stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Own revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the Vacuum Interrupter product line, driving sales growth across trade and intercompany business in line with profit plans and new-product business cases.
  • Define and execute mid- to long-term commercial strategies to optimize sales performance, margins, and market share across the assigned countries.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations (Suzhou plant), Global Engineering, Regional and Local Sales, and Product Management to ensure the right product offering and fast customer response times, supporting the CPCD strategy.
  • Develop and activate indirect sales channels, including partner programs such as Powered by Eaton Technology, by identifying and enabling key switchgear partners in the region.
  • Act as the primary commercial and technical interface for customers, supporting key accounts with product positioning, channel strategy, and technical guidance.
  • Leverage market and customer insights by monitoring trends and competitor activity, and translating Voice-of-Customer feedback into input for regional strategy, product roadmaps, and R&D priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.Proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a similar commercial role within the electrical industry, preferably in a medium-voltage environment.
  • Strong preference for experience with manufacturers of medium-voltage vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) or related MV equipment.
  • Solid technical knowledge of medium-voltage systems, including short-circuit protection principles, switchgear, circuit protection, and product applications.
  • Good understanding of markets, applications, and customers related to Vacuum Interrupter (VI) products.

Skills:

  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate ideas into actionable solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Strong global and regional market awareness, with the ability to understand industry dynamics and customer needs.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience using data and statistical analysis to assess market trends, competitor activity, and industry dynamics.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with confidence in public speaking and participation in internal and external meetings.
