What you'll do:
At Golf Pride®, the Industrial Designer plays a key role in shaping the future of our performance category through front end research, concept development, and visual exploration. This position is centered on early phase innovation, with a strong emphasis on 2D visualization, texture and pattern development, and translating player insights into compelling visual and functional concepts. This role will collaborate closely with the Industrial Design Manager and global partners across engineering, prototyping, marketing, sales, and brand to enhance the overall product experience. While highly collaborative, this role is best suited for a designer who is deeply passionate about dialing in great design-someone who thrives in upfront creative work, enjoys generating and refining a high volume of ideas, and gets excited about turning problem statements into clear, consumer focused solutions; you will then work with a product engineer who will support the CAD development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within an exciting consumer product category in the sporting goods space.
Mission: To translate player insights and performance-needs into compelling design concepts that elevate the look, feel, and performance of Golf Pride products through front-end research, visual exploration, and hands-on design execution.
• Design Research - Participate in or lead player research, testing, and design thinking workshops to uncover unmet and needs and product opportunities.
• 2D Visualization - Support visual exploration through sketches, renderings, pattern development, and texture studies to inform product direction.
• Concept-to-Prototype - Work closely with engineering and prototyping teams to translate 2D concepts into physical prototypes.
As an Industrial Designer, you will also:
• Stay informed on consumer product trends, applying both fashion and performance influence towards active and future projects.
• Generate and refine a high volume of design concepts in support of innovation projects for Retail and OEM projects.
• Create clear, visually attractive presentations that story-tell research findings, design intent, and recommendations to both internal and external teams.
• Collaborate closely with the Industrial Design Manager and global partners across engineering, prototyping, marketing, sales, and brand to enhance the overall product experience.
• Partner with engineering and prototyping teams to translate 2D concepts into physical prototypes, evaluating designs for performance and manufacturability.
