Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Internship: Projects & Operations Technician (4-12 month) - Burlington/Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for working with the Project Operations and Support Group), a division of Electrical Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) group, to continue the ongoing development of tools used by the Project Operations Team as well as other divisions within EESS. This role will commence in Jan 2026.

Essential Functions:
Ongoing development of Power BI Interfaces for

    • Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive dashboards and Power BI reports. This includes creating visualizations, setting up data models and ensuring dashboards are user friendly.
    • Testing and Validation: Test the dashboards to ensure they meet user requirements and accurately reflect the data. This includes validating calculations, checking for errors, and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
    • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Continuous Improvement Manager, Product Configuration Specialist, Financial Managers, Commercial
    • Project Specialist and other stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the dashboards.
    • Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of dashboards by improving data models, reducing load times, and ensuring efficient data processing.
    • Documentation: Document the development process, data sources, and any changes made to the dashboards. This helps maintain transparency and ensures that others can understand and use the dashboards effectively.
    • Training and Support: Provide training and support to Financial Team and Project Ops Team, helping them understand how to use the dashboards and interpret the data.

• Assist in ongoing development of Quality and Operational Excellence Programs for the Project Operations and Support Team:

    • Update the Project Operations Handbook SharePoint using input provided by Team Members
    • Assist in development of Quality Assurance manual for Major Projects
    • Assist in developing and organizing access to standard tools used by the Project Operations Team

• Receiving direction and assignments from the assigned leader(s) and report any problems to your supervisor

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program or Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma program.
• This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 80km of Burlington or Mississauga, ON to be considered
• No sponsorship provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

• Must be able to work full time for the duration of the internship starting in January 2026.

Preferred Qualifications
• 0 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products.
• Experience with enhanced applications including Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI

• Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
