What you'll do:

Eaton's Electrical Sector, Americas Power Controls Systems (PCS) division is currently seeking a Power Systems Engineering Intern. This position is scheduled to start in Jan 2026.

The Engineering Intern position with the Eaton's Power Systems Engineering Group primarily will involve review of project specifications & single line diagrams, correspondence to gather data, perform power system analysis studies, electrical design and some AutoCAD drafting.

Essential Functions:

• Provide applied engineering in the areas of power system studies, power quality analysis and electrical power system design.
• Performing short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load flow, power quality and arc flash hazard analysis studies.
• Review project specifications, single line diagrams and equipment Bill of Materials.
• Prepare power system study data requests and follow up as required.
• Assist with electrical substation and protection & control design tasks.
• Manage paperwork and office procedures.
• Perform all work at a high level.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.
• Perform other duties, as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• All Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program.
• All Candidates must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must currently reside within 120km of Eaton's Delta, BC facility, to be considered
• All Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship, now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the use of SKM PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower power system analysis software would be a plus.
• Ability to read and understand single line diagrams and schematics would be an asset.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical code requirement and design practices an asset.
