Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Internship: OpEx Specialist (4-month)- Mississauga, ON, Canada.

The hourly rate for this position is $20-$25 per hour per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Primary Function:
The OpEx Specialist at Canada Satellite, reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, plays a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing processes. Their responsibilities include developing new jigs and tools, implementing design changes, and optimizing production workflows. Additionally, the OpEx Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve material procurement policies and overall operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:
• Design, prototype, and validate jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing processes.
• Implement design changes to enhance product quality and reduce production time.
• Maintaining, organizing, and updating documentation on the Canada Satellite wiki.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, Code of Ethics, as well as Safety and Environmental standards and commitment to safety and cost improvement.
• Perform other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrolled and Returning to a post-secondary program in an Engineering-related field.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 120 kms of the work location.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic experience in using 3D modelling software
• Strong analytic skills

• Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem solving skills.
• Effective time management, prioritization and project management skills.
