Internship: Material Handler (4-month) - Perth, ON, Canada
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Material Handler Intern.
What you'll do:
Eaton is looking for a Material Handler Intern for 4-month for summer term. This position is based in our Perth, Ontario Distribution Centre.
This position is scheduled to start in May 2026.
The hourly range for this role is $20-$22 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position takes part in all stock handling duties such as receiving, order picking, loading/unloading trucks, replenishment, cycle counting and Physical Inventory.
Responsibilities for Material Handler:
• Picking and receiving material; move and pick up material from other departments, as needed
• Inspect and verify inbound material for condition, quantity and accuracy
• Packing and shipping Purolator shipments
• Inventory cycle counts
• Assist with offsetting warehouse vacations within the summer months
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Enrolled and returning to an applicable post-secondary program.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in future.
• This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 120 kms of the work location.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment an asset.
Position Criteria:
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong customer services focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects, in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
