Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Internship - Commercial Engineering.

The hourly rate for this position is Junior = $24.92 Senior = $27.69 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Commercial Engineering Intern will support the Commercial Engineering team by providing project support and technical assistance for the GEIS Commercial Engineering Platform. Successful interns will provide support for new product innovation projects, assist in sustaining efforts, and support the engineering test facility located in Highland, IL. The role will interact with various aspects of the organization from marketing and sales to engineering and sourcing.
• Create 3D models of new or existing products.
• Assist in product prototyping and testing.
• Work with the engineering team to evaluate and solve sustaining engineering problems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support ongoing engineering programs.
• Write and execute Engineering Change Orders.

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering with a major in mechanical, electrical, industrial, industrial & systems, aerospace or aeronautical engineering or applied engineering sciences from an accredited institution
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round)
• Currently located within 50-mile radius of Highland, IL with housing available through summer break
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of freshman year by the start of the internship
• Prior internship or co-op experience
• Experience using SolidWorks or Alternative 3D Modelling Software
• Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
• Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results
• Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP software
