Indirect Purchasing Manager Mobility EMEA
Eaton's Mobility Group is currently seeking an Indirect Purchasing Manager - Mobility EMEA, to be based at our Eaton Mobility facilities in EMEA.
This role will be responsible for implementing commodity strategies over 4 plants, driving cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring strong support through a high-performing and optimized supply base.
What you'll do:
Implement cost reduction projects and ensuring high value plant support. Manage the relationship with key internal business partners in functions (Materials Managers/Plant Managers/Finance Controllers/Continuous Improvement Manager) and maintain the most proper alignment with Indirect Procurement Corporate Organization (Commodity Managers). Lead operational purchasing to guarantee production continuity and right support to Manufacturing in all the key initiatives as well as delivery of Plant P&L. Escalation point for supplier claims management. Guarantee right execution on P2P process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Plans and manage Plant Indirect Operational Purchasing Leaders in the execution and support of commodity strategies and Capital & Investment Budget Management.
2) Establishes appropriate goals for annual total cost productivity, commodity spend, supplier footprint, supplier evaluationand development and performanceat Plant level in alignment with Global & Regional Purchasing Strategies.
3) Responsible for the supply base and management of supplier relationships in tandem with Global and Regional commodity Managers.
4) Achieve functional goals (best service at best cost and quality).
5) Achieve working capital goals by plant (DOH, DPO).
6) Monitors contract compliance; escalation point to solve operational issues with vendors (e.g., quality, delivery and service issues) and influence commodity strategies based on supplier performance and plants input.
7) Communicate to Management - on an ongoing basis, the Indirect Purchasing Manager is responsible for holding quarterly supplier reviews and ensuring progress to year-over-year supplier improvement goals by Plant.
8) Prioritize sourcing projects execution at Plant guaranteeing Commodity Strategy deployment in compliance with production needs and requirements.
9) Lead relationship with Product Lines for managing Machine Building activities and projects.
10) Lead P2P process to assure business continuity at Plants and high quality of services.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Engineering, Technical discipline, or Economics (or equivalent)
• 6-9+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record in cost-reduction initiatives, supplier performance management, and executing commodity strategies at plant level
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing a team
• Experience working cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders
Skills:
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier management skills
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to lead, coach, and develop purchasing teams
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate commodity strategies into actionable plant-level plans
