Indirect Procurement Category Manager - Capital & MRO

What you'll do:
As the Regional Category Manager for Capital & MRO, this role drives strategic sourcing across APAC sites, with end-to-end responsibility for capital contract development, negotiation, and supplier management. The role leads the deployment of sourcing initiatives in alignment with Eaton's supplier governance framework and manages strategic sourcing for medium-value Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operating Expenditure (Opex) projects (e.g., USD 100K-250K).
Through close cross-functional collaboration, the role advances supplier consolidation, improves payment and delivery terms, and delivers cost-effective sourcing outcomes that support Eaton's enterprise-wide objectives.
- Develop and execute Capital & MRO category strategies aligned with Eaton's enterprise goals, including operating for growth, compliance, Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) optimization, and sustainability.
- Lead and manage Capital/MRO categories, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure supply reliability, optimal total cost, on-time delivery, minimal risk, and best-in-class quality.
- Drive end-to-end Capex purchasing activities in close collaboration with manufacturing plants and suppliers.
- Translate site level demand forecasts into category growth and sourcing plans
- Analyze spend data, prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives, and lead negotiations for complex Capex and MRO projects.
- Align with business users on MRO strategies to minimize equipment downtime while optimizing total cost.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and lead implementation with appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Participate in risk assessment and risk management activities with project teams, global SCM leaders, and commodity managers.
- Lead governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with SCM policies and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Indirect Sourcing across categories such as CAPEX and MRO; manufacturing background strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of expertise in facility planning, cost control, budgeting, and capital equipment appropriation.
- Strong expertise in category strategy development, deployment, cost-out execution, risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Solid knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, including global supplier negotiations.
- Experience with global supply chain operations, including sourcing, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation.
- Strong agility, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to operate effectively under pressure in dynamic environments and manage complexity and ambiguity.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Self-directed and self-motivated, with strong ownership of outcomes and initiatives.
