Head of FAE

We are looking for a Head of FAE(Field Application Engineer) leading a team of field application engineer for Malaysia in Eaton's electrical business under our Power distribution unit, based in Malaysia, Selangor.

What you'll do:

This position will be responsible for managing the FAE team in Malaysia, effectively supporting the sales activities of the sales team to achieve sales revenue goals, in addition to provide professional technical responses for Eaton Power Quality & Power Distribution solutions.

A. Responsible for pre-sales technical support & expertise in implementation of customer applications associated with Power Quality Solution including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), battery system, cooling solution, and Power Distribution Solution including transformer, switchgear, busWay, low voltage panels, Power Train Unit (PTU), DCIM & EPMS system.
B. Efforts include preparation, participation and/or presentation of seminars to customers and consultants
C. Providing solution and prepare bidding documents
D. Examines customer requirements in terms of equipment and documentation
E. Provides technical review of orders
F. Recommends most cost effective configuration to meet technical requirements
G. Support sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications
H. Effectively interface with customers, sales staff, consultants and contractors to support requirements
I. Familiar with current trend and technology developments of competitions
J. To be committed & responsible for Quality Management System:
a. Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking
b. Provide the necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS
c. Communicating to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS requirements
d. Ensuring the QMS meets its goals
e. Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS
f. Create a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of pre-sales and support experience in data centre applications and electrical power distribution
• Practical experience in design and solutioning
• Knowledge of power quality and distribution systems in data centres
• Familiarity with electrical installation methods, practices, and the National Electrical Code
• Familiarity with power switchgear and distribution manufacturing techniques
• Knowledge of precision cooling and its applications
• Strong technical interpretation, communication, and CAD skills
• Ability to deliver technical proposal presentations to customers and consulting engineers
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and 3D modelling
