Global Retail Sales Operations Intern

What you'll do:

PRIMARY ROLE
Golf Pride® Grips, #1 golf grip brand worldwide, located in Pinehurst, NC, is currently seeking a Global Sales Operations Leader for our Retail & Distribution Channel business.

This individual is the commercial sales operations leader for the Retail & Distribution Channel globally. They are responsible for the Retail Channel global sales forecast, profit plan and profitability mix as well as connectivity of consumer insights (marketing), customer insights (sales), and business objectives through the SIOP process. The position reports directly to the Global Commercial Planning Manager and will play a key role in building and executing Golf Pride's business planning strategy & execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Sales & Demand Forecasting

  • Produce the Retail Channel global sales forecast, profit plan and profitability mix.
  • Partner with Retail Sales & Product Managers to connect consumer insights (marketing), customer insights (sales), and business objectives through the Demand & SIOP Forecasting process.
  • Generate clear and concise variance analysis from prior forecast, prior year, and profit plan for the Retail channel to support commentary submitted through the SIOP process.
  • Report out on Forecast Accuracy to improve future demand plans.

• Sales Reporting & Support

  • Produce customer order intake and backlog reporting to drive proactive communication with customers and inform forecast decisions for the SIOP team.
  • Analyze, prepare, and interpret profitability reports by customer, product line and model. Communicate results and trends to the Global Commercial Planning Manager.
  • Own reporting and analysis around Retail Partner Strategic Agreements.

    • Rebate/claims tracking and processing.
    • Promotional events, timing, impact, return.
  • Report out on Sell-Thru trends globally.

• Customer & Operational Support

  • Partner with Retail Sales Managers & Customer Service to lead customer communications and customer scorecard management.
  • Participate in Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly customer meetings.
  • Manage On-Time-To-Request and On-Time-To-Promise reporting to deliver world-class customer experience.
  • Support operations & distribution teams on request related to orders & forecast for BTI business.
  • Manage internal execution of strategic channel decisions.

    • Growth initiative support
    • Price list & assortment updates
    • Clear directives on large-scale program intel (ramp timing, ramp volume, product type)

• Currently completing a degree in business or similar interest
