What you'll do:

We are looking for a Firmware Test Automation Engineer to strengthen firmware quality and test automation for our UPS products. In this role, you will contribute to firmware testing and automation activities, working closely with experienced engineers and global development teams to help ensure the quality and reliability of our embedded products.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated firmware tests for UPS and CPS product lines.
  • Support firmware test planning and participate in the creation and execution of structured test cases for product features.
  • Implement test solutions to verify system and product requirements based on established test strategies.
  • Execute firmware testing activities and provide input to design and feature reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of automated tests within CI/CD environments.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and assist in root cause investigations together with firmware and system engineers.
  • Document test procedures, results, and releases in accordance with company quality processes.
  • Collaborate with firmware, systems, and hardware teams to improve product quality and test coverage.
  • Learn and apply modern embedded software testing tools, methods, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in software development, software testing, test automation, embedded systems, or a related technical area.

  • Solid programming skills in Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with software testing principles and automated testing concepts.
  • Basic understanding of version control systems such as Git.
  • Interest in embedded systems, firmware development, and test automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn debugging techniques for embedded and system-level issues.
  • Basic understanding of C/C++ programming.
  • Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment and learn to use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
