What you'll do:

The PDR Finance Controller provides end-to-end financial leadership for three manufacturing plants, including one joint venture, and acts as a key finance business partner to the PDR General Manager and plant leadership teams.
This role owns the financial performance of PDR manufacturing operations, drives strong cost and operational discipline, ensures robust governance and compliance, and enables informed business decisions through high-quality financial insights. The position also leads and develops the plant finance organization and plays a critical role in managing effective, constructive relationships with Chinese JV partners.

The role requires a strong hands-on manufacturing finance background, deep system and process ownership mindset, and the ability to actively challenge operational and management assumptions. Candidates with primarily accounting or reporting-focused experience, and limited exposure to plant operations or business partnering, are unlikely to be successful in this role.
1. Business Partnering & Financial Performance
- Act as Finance Controller for PDR, owning the overall financial performance of three manufacturing plants and serving as a trusted and challenging finance partner to the PDR GM and plant leadership teams.
- Provide proactive, fact-based financial insights to support operational, commercial and strategic decision-making.
2. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control
- Lead plant operations finance, including standard costing, cost variance analysis, productivity and efficiency tracking, to drive continuous operational and cost improvement.
- Identify key cost drivers and operational risks, working closely with Operations to define, monitor and close improvement actions.
3. Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead the annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes for PDR.
- Own variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year, clearly articulating key drivers, risks and outlook.
4. SAP, ETO Process Ownership & Process Excellence
- Act as a key finance process owner in SAP, ensuring disciplined system setup, robust data governance and effective execution of ETO processes to enhance operational efficiency, transparency and management decision-making.
- Drive consistent and effective use of SAP outputs across plants to support costing, forecasting, performance tracking and internal controls.
5. Governance, Compliance & JV Management
- Take primary responsibility for financial communication and coordination with JV partner management, supporting regular performance reviews, governance requirements and alignment on key financial topics.
- Build and maintain a constructive, professional and win-win working relationship with Chinese JV partners, navigating differences in perspectives with financial rigor and cultural awareness.
- Ensure strong internal controls, financial discipline and compliance in line with corporate policies, SOX requirements and local regulatory standards.
6. Cash, Assets & Capital Management
- Drive effective management of cash flow, working capital, inventory and capital expenditures.
- Support capital investment planning, monitoring and post-investment performance evaluation.
7. People Leadership
- Lead, develop and coach the plant finance team, building strong analytical capability, clear accountability and effective business support.
- Foster a performance-driven, collaborative and professional finance culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• Minimum 8-10 years of finance experience, with solid background in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Proven team leadership experience, such as Costing Manager, Finance Manager or similar role.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing costing and plant operations finance, with the ability to link financial results to operational drivers.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment, including ownership of finance-related processes and data governance.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, SOX and financial compliance frameworks.
• CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred.
• Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to influence, challenge and support management constructively.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex financial topics to non-finance stakeholders.
• High level of professionalism and cultural awareness when working with Chinese JV partners and local stakeholders.
• Hands-on yet strategic, able to operate effectively in a complex, multi-plant environment.
• Proven people leadership and team development capability.
