ES EMEA Customer Master Data BPO (Business Process Owner)
What you'll do:
The Business Process Owner Customer (BPO) MDM is a subject matter expert responsible for overseeing and optimizing business processes within the data domain customer, account and contact data. The role secures proper definition and improvement of the processes related to Customer, Account and Contact data creation & maintenance.
The role ensures that business operations are aligned with strategic goals, particularly in the areas of Customer Master Data. The BPO for EMEA acts as a key liaison between business units and IT, driving process excellence, standardization, and governance across systems and regions.
Governance & Standards
Establish and enforce standards and policies for customer and contact master data to promote a data-driven culture.
Ensure compliance with global Eaton standards, tools, and processes while incorporating EMEA-specific requirements.
System Landscape & Data Integrity
Collaborate with IT teams to optimize system architecture for efficient and effective data maintenance.
Reduce redundancy, define sources of truth, and ensure synchronization across all tools and platforms.
Process Improvement
Partner with Customer Operations teams to simplify and standardize business processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems and departments, leveraging automation where possible.
Requirements Management
Assess new business requirements and integrate them into existing processes or design new workflows.
Roll out new standards and requirements to operational Data Stewards and business users.
Data Quality & Support
Ensure processes and data models enable "first-time-right" data setup during creation and maintenance.
Provide end-to-end support for Data Stewards in resolving data flow issues.
Tool Standardization
Promote consistency across key platforms, including MDM (Reltio), ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), and marketing tools (Eloqua).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, ideally with focus on Customer/Contact MDM related topics
- 2-5 years in an area related to Customer / Contact Master Data
Skills:
- Tools: Strong understanding of enterprise systems such as C-MDM (Reltio), ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), and Eloqua (Contacts)
- Processes: Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and to drive process improvements, especially in Customer/Account & Contact Master Data creation and enrichment
- Strong English language capability is essential, any other European language is a benefit
- Customer first mindset
- Extensive digital know-how is desired
- Experience with process modeling, data analytics tools, and Agile methodologies is beneficial
