Engineering Manager - Panels & Switchboard

The Engineering Manager - Panels & Switchboards will be responsible for leading the ETO (Engineer-to-Order) team, converting switchboard product customer's requirements into customized switchboards.
This role also involves driving a strong culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement while ensuring successful execution of ETO projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a dynamic team of approximately 12+ engineers, including Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
• Provide strong technical leadership across end-to-end ETO processes and mentor the team to improve quality, efficiency, and capability development.
• Drive team-level initiatives to build and strengthen organizational capabilities.
• Support hands-on engineering activities as needed and independently execute switchboard product offerings such as General Purpose, IFS, GQC, and Metering Switchboards.
• Demonstrate solid experience and working knowledge of IEC, UL, and NEMA electrical standards.
• Collaborate with global partners for knowledge sharing and develop structured training plans for the team.
• Possess strong technical expertise in LV electrical products, preferably switchboard assemblies and components such as circuit breakers, switches, and fuses.
• Define and implement robust quality control metrics for ETO projects.
• Expand and enhance team capabilities by introducing additional responsibilities such as sales and CSR support roles.
• Lead and execute Automation and AI-driven initiatives at the team level.
• Ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through effective leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in switchboard or switchgear design, combined with demonstrated People leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Eaton's Panels & Switchboards portfolio, competitor products, and relevant smart solutions.
• Excellent leadership skills, including delegation, decision-making, and objective setting, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong peer relationship skills with the ability to collaborate fairly and effectively across teams.
• Action-oriented mindset with high energy and a willingness to take on challenging initiatives.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience working with global teams and partners is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and Inventor/Creo.
