We are seeking a Power Distribution Field Services Technical Lead to join our Regional Services Business Unit. This role will support the EMEA region, with a primary focus on Data Center clients.

This is a newly created role within the EMEA Services Central Operations organization and plays a key role in driving the strategic growth of EMEA Services for the Power Distribution Division.

As a Field Services Technical Manager, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing Country Services Units (CSUs) across EMEA with the necessary technical expertise and support during commissioning activities for Data Centers.

Additionally, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering the training program for Senior Commissioning Services Engineers in the region.

We are seeking a candidate with deep technical knowledge of Eaton's Power Distribution product portfolio and hands-on experience in commissioning large-scale projects.

The role is not a people manager but rather a highly skilled Power Distribution technical expert. This individual will collaborate closely with field service teams across the region, country sales organizations, and customers.

Travel rate is up to 30% in the region.

The role is open remotely in the following countries where Eaton has Power Distribution training centers: United Kingdom, Ireland, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Finland and Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standardize the design and produce Standard operating procedures for testing and commissioning.
  • Build Sales Operations SOP library and ensure that Field Service Engineers have access to the latest SOPs.
  • Maintain direct links with our hubs in Hengelo/The Netherlands and Ankara/Turkey and act as focal point for all technical exchange with Manufacturing, Engineering and Support at these facilities.
  • Work closely with EMEA Project Management Office, advising on commissioning considerations, attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and producing documents for field service execution.
  • Oversee technical escalations providing support to engineers and customers alike. Drive escalations to conclusion and complete technical reports as necessary.
  • Act as single point of contact and subject matter expert to provide technical support during the commissioning phase for EMEA Projects.
  • Lead the onboarding and training program for Senior Field Service Engineers specialized in operations for large projects including the certification of those, in alignment with the EMEA Technical & Training Lead.
  • Develop and deliver a Train The Trainer scheme to ensure the required field services competency and capability are available at the location where projects are executed.
  • Collaborate with EMEA Technical & Training Department on the development and continuous improvement of training centers according to the business needs.
  • Liaise with EHS Department to integrate critical EHS subjects (Electrical Safety and LOTO) on training program.
  • Be an active member of the Field Service Engagement Program, promoting best practice sharing and continue building the Field Service Community across the region..
  • Attend training courses on all company products and any other technical training that would enhance the level of support given to the Service Business Unit.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Technical School and proven industry experience are required for the role.
  • 5+ years within a senior field services role for Power Distribution equipment (LV/MV).
  • Power Distribution product technical background is required.
  • Knowledge of field service offerings - installation & commissioning.
  • Advanced knowledge of commissioning activities and scripts for large projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to represent EMEA Services at various levels within the region
  • Drive for financial results.
  • Ability to influence change in people and processes.
  • Proactive mind-set with desire for clear accountability and ownership.
  • Acts as a role model in line with Eaton ethical standards of conduct and Eaton leadership value and attributes.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Ready to travel across the region +/- 30% of the working time.
