Electrical System Engineer

What you'll do:

This role falls under Eaton's Power Distribution System and Service (PDSS). The core responsibility of the candidate is to oversee the execution of New Product Development (NPD) programs, including identifying potential applications, designing product specifications, and conducting electrical design and validation.
1. Responsible for the electrical system and circuit-level design, validation, and industrialization of solid-state circuit protection components and system assembly products.
2. Take charge of designing the circuit protection architecture and formulating selective configurations for power distribution systems featuring extensive penetration of various power electronics.
3. Lead the trade-off analysis of power electronics topologies, selection of semiconductor devices, and design of passive components for high-voltage power supply products, covering grid-connected inverters, DC/DC converters, and rectifiers.

4. Provide support for the design, layout, coding, and debugging of microcontrollers applied in power electronics products to promote project progress and product quality improvement.
5. Undertake systematic competitor analysis and benchmarking work, with a focus on product specifications, pricing strategies and business model frameworks.
6. Deliver pre-sales technical support and professional expertise for the implementation of customer applications in datacenter, energy storage, and industrial power distribution as well as circuit protection.
7. Provide support for the project quotation and bidding process, including technical consultation and clarification, product configuration design, cost accounting and pricing formulation to back the sales team's bidding work.

Qualifications:

• Master's in electrical engineering, power semiconductor or related is preferred, Master's with 2+ years experiences, Bachelor's with 5+ years experiences.

Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of power electronics technologies and their applications in power distribution, power conversion and energy management.
• Proven experience with power semiconductor devices, gate drive technologies, thermal management, as well as the topology design and control strategies of solid-state circuit breaker and power converters.
• Experience in implementing and verifying control algorithms on embedded platforms.
• Good presentation capability to promote new product to customer.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English communication.
