What you'll do:

Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for DR CoE employees and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role supports the implementation of corporate EHS guidelines, leads safety initiatives, and provides technical expertise to reduce risks and promote a culture of safety across the organization. Also, seeks to improve the environment in our facilities and local communities, while always promoting the highest levels of integrity.

Provide support to the CoE Leader and Local EHS functional manager on the implementation of corporate guidelines related with EHS area. Lead initiatives and provide technical support, including planning, review, data interpretation and development of corrective actions to the EHS function in areas such as MESH,ISO 14001: 2004 or OHSAS 18001:2007.

Job Responsibilities

1. Implement and comply with MESH program to achieve the required level.
2. Lead and support the integration of MESH policies to all EBS tools (OPA, EBE, etc)
3. Monitor and assure that all OHSAS 18001:2007 or ISO 14001: 2004 procedures are performed and achieve annual re- certification on ISO 14000.
4. Lead the Zero Incident Safety Culture (ZISC), Life Saving Rules (LSR), Zero Waste to Landfill and EPG EHS initiatives.
5. Responsible for the implementation of Job Safety Analysis for the plant and recommend corrective actions.
6. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision
7. Responsible for the Industrial Hygiene and Environment regulations, monitor and implement corrective actions as required.
8. Develop and maintain in an annual basis the required EHS documentation, RIAT, MESH Site Level Risk Assessment, MESH Areas Risk Assessments, business continuity

management (BCM) processes develop the required site level. Lead and support the implementation of the EHS trainings, such as: the 10 priority elements, Ergonomics, First
Aid, Fire extinguishing, Chemical & Waste Management, etc.
9. Lead and support the EHS Committees (meetings and plan execution).
10. Coordinate the annual evacuation drills.
11. Evaluate and identify areas / procedures that request PPE; (Contractors and Technical service department).
12. Establish the necessary internal communications: meetings, posters, brochures etc. related with EHS areas.
13. Establish annual EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) program for all employees at facility.
14. Collaborate in the EHS initiatives in the other sub functions (Security) in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the EHS function.
15. Lead the development and accomplishment of all aspects related with local legislation on Industrial Hygiene, employee safety according with law 522-06, environmental law
64-00 and implement corrective actions as required.
16. Maintain required EHS documentation, tracks and logs, updating MESH suite for effective accurate data.
17. Support in the implementation of AXA XL requirements.
18. Assure that all new projects comply with EHS legal permits, if required.
19. Performs other related duties as requested by the management.
20. Execute 100% of monthly EHS inspections, in coordination with the MESH Technician, Document control and Assistants.
21. Assist to all EHS training assigned.
22. Assist and Lead EHS Information and reporting for Staff Meetings.
23. Promote and promulgate all MESH process and policies to all the employees in Haina Campus, and ensure that they are being performed at the plant

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Administration or similar careers.
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar areas.
Two years of experience in EHS and OHSAS 18001:2007, regulations
(local and USA) and procedures.
Advanced domain in OSHA Application
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
Advanced MS Office
