EATON is hiring a EHS Koordinator (m/f/d) based at our manufacturing plant in Schrems, Austria

This position provides Environmental, Health & Safety coordination to the Schrems site. The EHS Coordinator identifies potential safety risks and documents and reports the results to Manger and Supervisors. The EHS Coordinator supports and promotes the investigation of incidents, near misses, environmental incidents and property damage and ensures that corrective and preventive actions are taken to minimise future risks. Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices. The EHS Coordinator reviews the activities of the company as a whole and supports the EHS aspects Assessment of the site. The EHS Coordinator is involved in manufacturing-, project meetings and management of change processes to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities. Supports the further development of the EHS management systems (ISO14001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 50001) and the EATON EHS programmes and cooperates and supports the EHS Champions.

What you'll do:

  • Identification of risks and hazards (risk assessments)
  • Conception of corrective and preventive actions
  • Support planning and execution of EHS Trainings
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation, implementation and presentation of programmes, and finally defining action plans based on audit results and drive implementing of actions.
  • Report and investigation of incidents, trending of incidents (incidents, first aid cases, cluster of Near misses and observations) and define actions
  • Support the department leads in all EHS-relevant topics
  • Support the assessment of EHS aspects on plant level
  • Regulary information of employees about actual EHS topics
  • Support the further development of the management systems (ISO14001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 50001), also CSR and Sustainabiliy
  • Monitors and analyse EHS metrics and establish action plans to close gaps
  • Thrives EHS programms, cooperates and supports EHS Champions"

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a technical/business education. Safety specialist according to Austrian law (SFK-VO) is required
  • Experience in a similar EHS function and an industrial environment

  • Understanding and ability of risk identification and risk mitigation
  • Problem solving knowledge and experience
  • German and English fluent written and spoken
  • Knows how to work effectively with customers, co-workers, and other company personnel
  • Capability to set priorities and respect deadline
  • Strong capability of working in a team
  • Flexibility and self-organised working
  • Determined to continuously improve existing processes
  • Eager use of implementation of new digital technologies
  • Focus on engaging stakeholders for EHS topics
