Eaton's Engineering & Technology Early Talent Leadership Development Program offers a unique opportunity to kick-start your international career. You'll receive leadership training, personal coaching, and network with senior leaders. Through rotational assignments across various locations and business areas, you will develop a broad skill set and prepare for future leadership roles.

The program will start in September 2026 at the Hengelo site (Netherlands), which is a cornerstone of Eaton's Medium- & Low Voltage Solutions in EMEA. The Mechanical Design Engineer will join the Switchgear R&D team and gain hands-on exposure to the design and development of SF6-free medium- and low-voltage switchgear products. The role is designed to build strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, design standards, and cross-functional collaboration while working under close guidance from experienced engineers. The assignment combines structured learning with practical project work in a manufacturing and customer-focused environment.

The second year of the program will take place in another EMEA country within one of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems, power electronics, product development, software engineering. Potential locations for the second-year assignment include Ireland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic or the Netherlands.

Qualifications:

• Currently possesses, or will have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering with a graduation date no later than August 2026
• You have max. 1-3 years of professional experience (including any internships)
